Beverly Holmes Diltz, at the Forefront of Activism

If you want to make a change in any matter, you must be prepared to work. This is true of Beverly Holmes Diltz. She has taken on different ventures in her legal career and entrepreneurial roles to make a difference in society. Her fetes and accomplishments are nothing short of impressive.

Many people want to be part of change but they only talk about it. Beverly Diltz has done more than just talk about it. At a point in her life she travel-led to South Africa and spent time with the late Nelson Mandela his wife and family. She was able to pluck up the courage to go back to the ‘motherland’ and connect with her roots. Through this trip, she heard one of the most inspiring things from the late Nelson Mandela, “Never let a man outshine you.” this has come in handy in all areas of her life as it pushed her to be braver and thus empowered her. She also interacted with Winnie Mandela who told her tales of what she went through because of apartheid. With such first-hand recounts, she was able to take back incredible gems from the ‘motherland.’ It also enlightened her to the fact that many black Americans have identified so much with their American part that their African bit is nothing more than just the color of their skin.

These experiences have helped Beverly Holmes Diltz become the person that she is today. She is at the forefront of activism and equal rights for the black community because of this knowledge. Unlike others, she stands for what she believes in from an informed perspective. More and more people should be challenged to take the step and stand up for these rights. You may not be able to meet iconic African leaders but like Beverly Diltz you can still make a difference.
